Summary of Role

Humble Crumble is a crumble bakery, the first of its kind. We are a high-growth company where the day-to-day work is often fast paced and changes quickly. We're looking for a brilliant bookkeeper to keep our numbers clean, current and easy to act on across all our sites. You'll also look after the books for Chai Guys, a separate chai business co-founded by our CEO.

This is a key role for us, as you'll be responsible for ensuring we have the information we need to make good decisions as we grow.

What you'll do

• Day-to-day bookkeeping for both businesses
• Processing supplier invoices and managing payment runs
• Bank, card and EPOS reconciliations across multiple sites
• Tracking sales, wholesale accounts and payments received
• Preparing month-end and supporting management accounts
• Supporting payroll and liaising with our payroll provider
• Preparing VAT returns and working with our external accountants
• Keeping intercompany transactions clear and properly recorded

What we're looking for

• Solid bookkeeping experience, ideally in hospitality, retail or food and drink
• Confident handling more than one set of books at once
• Strong with Xero and Dext
• AAT qualified or equivalent experience (3-5 years)
• Organised and accurate, with a sharp eye for detail
• Comfortable asking questions and explaining the numbers in plain English
