About the role
Palmers Albany - Retail & Garden Centre Assistant
Enjoy working with plants and helping customers? We're looking for a friendly, reliable person to join our team.
Permanent part-time | Approximately 20 hours per week
Some weekend work may be required
About the role
- Welcome customers and help with their enquiries
- Operate the till and process payments
- Replenish stock and keep shelves and displays tidy
- Water and care for plants
- Help with general store duties, including light lifting and moving stock
About you
- Friendly, helpful and enthusiastic about customer service
- Reliable and able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable with light physical work
- Previous retail or garden centre experience would be an advantage
- Plant care knowledge and confidence in answering customers' questions would be a plus
Training will be provided.
Starting pay is at the applicable New Zealand minimum wage.
