About the role

Job Title: Project Manager – Website & SEO

Location: Ahmedabad (In-office preferred, remote possible for strong candidates)

Employment Type: Full-time

Experience: 2-5 years

About the Role

We're looking for a Project Manager for our Website and SEO teams who can take websites from brief to launch and make sure every site we build is search-ready and keeps growing after launch.

You'll work with UI/UX designers, developers, content writers, SEO specialists, and clients, and own both delivery quality and organic growth results.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Website Project Management

  • Own website projects from discovery and planning to development, testing, and launch.
  • Turn client requirements into clear project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Manage projects on platforms such as Webflow, WordPress, Framer, Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce and other similar platforms.
  • Review designs and developed pages for functionality, responsiveness, and consistency with the approved design.
  • Coordinate integrations such as CRM, forms, payment gateways, analytics, and APIs.
  • Track dependencies, feedback, revisions, and approvals to keep projects on schedule.
  • Run final QA and pre-launch checks covering content, links, forms, tracking, and SEO readiness.

SEO Leadership & Coordination

  • Guide the SEO team in building a roadmap for each project that covers technical SEO (site structure, redirects, schema), on-page and content SEO (metadata, headings, internal links, search intent, keywords), off-page SEO (link building and digital PR), and AEO/GEO (visibility in Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and other AI search tools).
  • Set SEO strategy based on client goals, industry, and competitors, and find growth opportunities through keyword research, search intent mapping, and competitor and market analysis.
  • Make sure SEO is planned before development starts, including site structure, URLs, keyword-to-page mapping, and redirects.
  • Review SEO audits and work with developers to fix issues that stop Google from finding, indexing, and ranking pages: slow page speed, duplicate pages, broken links, and crawl errors.
  • Coordinate content briefs with writers based on keywords, search intent, and conversion goals.
  • Oversee link-building to keep it relevant and high quality, and review backlink profiles for opportunities and risks.
  • Guide international SEO (hreflang, geo-targeting, localization) and local and national SEO for the markets each client targets.

Team Leadership & Client Management

  • Lead, mentor, and review the work of both the website team (designers, developers, QA) and the SEO team, assigning tasks and keeping quality and timelines on track.
  • Make sure design, development, content, SEO, and performance teams work together smoothly on every project.
  • Balance priorities across multiple client accounts and improve team processes.
  • Lead client communication, presenting project updates, SEO strategy, and performance insights in line with business goals.
  • Define targets for traffic, rankings, leads, and conversions, track them, and share monthly reports with clear insights and next steps.
  • Spot risks and bottlenecks early and resolve them with the relevant teams.

What We Are Looking For

  • 2-5 years of experience managing website projects, with strong working knowledge of SEO.
  • Strong grasp of the website design and development lifecycle.
  • Working knowledge of Webflow, WordPress, Framer, Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce and other similar platforms.
  • Solid understanding of technical, on-page, off-page, content, and international SEO.
  • Familiarity with Ahrefs/SEMrush, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Screaming Frog.
  • Understanding of UI/UX, responsive design, CMS, e-commerce, and website QA.
  • Experience with ClickUp, Notion, Figma, Jira, or similar tools.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or reviewing team members.
  • Excellent client communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Portfolio of websites managed, with your role and scope, and ideally SEO results or case studies (traffic, ranking, or lead growth).

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • On-time delivery of website projects and SEO deliverables against agreed timelines.
  • Quality at launch, with minimal critical issues and all functionality, integrations, QA, and tracking completed.
  • Client satisfaction, with clear communication and timely approvals.
  • SEO-ready launches and organic growth, with technical and on-page SEO in place at launch, followed by steady gains in traffic, rankings, and leads.
  • Team performance, covering the quality, efficiency, and coordination of both the website and SEO teams.

Why Join Us

  • Work on diverse website, e-commerce, and digital projects across industries.
  • Lead both delivery and SEO, a rare, high-ownership role.
  • Opportunity to grow into senior delivery, digital strategy, or head-of-department roles.

How to Apply

  • Send your CV and a brief note highlighting your most impactful website project and SEO result, the strategy behind it, and the outcome achieved to: [email protected]
  • Please include links to relevant website projects, case studies, or portfolios, along with examples of SEO campaigns where available.
