We are a performance-driven company built around speed, data, creative testing, and operational execution. Our team launches and scales products through paid media, high-converting funnels, strong creative strategy, customer retention, and disciplined backend operations.

At Persist Brands, we move fast, test aggressively, and optimize constantly. We are looking for ambitious, resourceful, and highly accountable people who want to join a lean, growth-focused company where their work has a direct impact on revenue, customer experience, and long-term brand value.

The Role

We are looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to oversee and optimize day-to-day business operations for a fast-growing eCommerce dropshipping startup. This role will be responsible for coordinating suppliers, orders, inventory availability, fulfillment, customer-impacting operational issues, and cross-functional workflows.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, data-driven, and comfortable working in a startup environment where processes are still being built and improved. This person will work closely with the Founder, CFO, Marketing, Payments, Finance, Customer Support, and external suppliers/partners to ensure smooth and scalable operations.

What You'll Do

1. eCommerce Operations

  • Manage daily operational activities across the eCommerce business, from order placement through fulfillment and delivery.
  • Monitor order volumes, fulfillment status, shipping timelines, cancellations, refunds, and operational exceptions.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Establish and maintain SOPs, workflows, controls, and operating processes.

2. Supplier & Fulfillment Management

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, sourcing partners, and fulfillment providers.
  • Monitor supplier performance, product availability, pricing, lead times, quality, and fulfillment SLAs.
  • Coordinate issue resolution related to inventory shortages, delayed shipments, incorrect orders, product quality, and returns.
  • Support supplier onboarding, evaluation, and performance management.

3. Order & Inventory Management

  • Oversee order processing and ensure orders move efficiently through the fulfillment lifecycle.
  • Monitor inventory availability and proactively identify potential stock-out or supply risks.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to maintain accurate product and inventory information.
  • Develop reporting and controls to minimize order errors, cancellations, and fulfillment delays.

4. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with Marketing to align product promotions and campaigns with supplier capacity, inventory, and fulfillment capabilities.
  • Work with Finance and the CFO on operational costs, refunds, chargebacks, supplier payments, and profitability-related operational data.
  • Coordinate with Payments/Merchant Operations on payment-related operational issues and transaction exceptions.
  • Collaborate with Customer Support to resolve customer-impacting operational issues.

5. Performance Management & Reporting

  • Establish and track operational KPIs including fulfillment time, order accuracy, cancellation rate, delivery performance, refund rate, supplier SLA adherence, and operational costs.
  • Prepare regular operational reports and dashboards for the CFO/Founder.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and ensure timely escalation of critical issues.

6. Process Improvement & Scalability

  • Continuously identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and standardize operational workflows.
  • Implement systems and tools that improve visibility, accountability, and efficiency.
  • Build scalable processes that can support increasing order volumes and multiple eCommerce brands/products.
  • Lead operational projects and process improvement initiatives as the business grows.

7. Risk, Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure operational processes follow company policies and applicable business requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation, controls, and audit trails for key operational activities.
  • Identify operational risks and escalate significant supplier, fulfillment, financial, or customer-impacting issues to the CFO/Founder.
  • Support the development of contingency plans for supplier, fulfillment, inventory, and operational disruptions.

What We're Looking For

  • 5–8 years of experience in eCommerce, operations, supply chain, fulfillment, marketplace, or a related environment.
  • Hands-on experience managing eCommerce operational workflows, preferably in dropshipping, DTC, or multi-brand eCommerce.
  • Experience working with suppliers, fulfillment partners, logistics providers, or sourcing teams.
  • Strong understanding of order management, fulfillment, inventory, returns, refunds, and customer-impacting operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with operational data and KPIs.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Strong proficiency with spreadsheets and operational reporting tools.

Deal Breakers

  • Experience working with Shopify or similar eCommerce platforms.
  • Experience with dropshipping suppliers and international sourcing/fulfillment.
  • Experience managing multiple products, brands, or eCommerce stores.
  • Familiarity with CRM, ERP, inventory, order-management, or workflow automation systems.
  • Experience building SOPs and operational processes from the ground up.
  • Prior experience in a startup or lean operating environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, skills, location, internal equity, and other business-related factors.
