Essential Duties and Responsibilities
GENERAL FUNCTION
Operates sewing machine to attach label to quilted panel.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Place label on guide in Porter Automatic Label Machine.
- Align panel on table within designated size guides.
- Activate machine and sew label to panel.
- Sew label by using standard sewing machine is also required.
- As required; add thread; replace needles; oil machine; fix thread breaks.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area.
- Observe stitching to detect defects and repair accordingly. All stitches must be in a uniform line on label
surface.
8. Notify Production Supervisor when defects are caused by machine malfunction.
9. Perform related duties as assigned.
Functional/Technical Competencies
Experience/Education
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Basic Math skills are required
- Production line experience helpful, but not required
- Attention to detail is a must.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, repetitively in a safe manner.
