About the role

We are looking for a Junior Designer who works with their hands as well as their eyes. Someone who can sketch an idea, trace the pattern, take the measurements and sit in on the fitting.

We work farm to closet. Our textiles are handwoven and dyed with plants, so no two rolls behave exactly the same.

You will learn how to design around that, working next to our Senior Designer and the Value Chain team to create a new heritage.

What you'll do

• Support product development with the Studio team, from first idea through to a production-ready sample
• Trace and adjust patterns, including kalkir for our existing textiles
• Take measurements and assist in fittings
• Build and maintain tech packs for new and existing products
• Support craft development with our Textile Designer
• Keep our style library accurate and up to date
• Contribute to the visual preparation of collections, including photoshoot preparation and coordination
• Support the planning and coordination of store visual merchandising, helping bring the collections to life in our retail spaces

What we're looking for

• A background in fashion design or pattern making, with 1 to 2 years of experience, or a strong fresh graduate
• Able to trace and adjust a pattern, and to take measurements on a person properly
• Comfortable with Adobe Illustrator and tech pack documentation
• Organised. A lot of this role is keeping records accurate so the rest of the Studio can work from them
• Patient with handmade materials. Natural dye and handweaving mean variation, and we design around it rather than fighting it
• Fluent Bahasa Indonesia, professional English
• This role is open to Indonesian nationals
