This is a remote, contract role for a Digital Marketing Intern. The intern will increase brand visibility, generate and follow up on business leads, and support overall customer acquisition and growth through digital channels. Daily tasks also include tracking and reporting on marketing performance, and working with the team to drive brand growth. Additional tasks may include conducting market and competitor research, and collaborating on simple content creation.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in digital marketing for building brand visibility and driving customer acquisition.
• Candidates should possess skills in lead generation and follow up through digital channels.
• Candidates should possess basic knowledge of marketing analytics and performance tracking.
• Basic understanding of digital platforms such as social media, search engines, WhatsApp, and email marketing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Interest in digital commerce, startups, and the African business ecosystem is beneficial.
• Current enrollment in or completion of a program in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is an advantage.

Time Commitments

• 10 to 15 hours per week

This role is task driven with flexible hours. You manage your own time as long as deliverables are met. We are looking for people who are committed, eager to learn, and ready to experience what it truly means to build in a startup environment. Experience is welcome but not required. What matters most is your willingness to show up, take ownership, and follow through. If you know you cannot commit to the tasks and the learning process, this role is not for you.
