As a Casual Design Consultant at Ellison Studios, you will be the welcoming face of our Showroom on Saturdays. Working from 9:15am–4:45pm , you will provide a warm, knowledgeable and design-led experience for every visitor.

You'll assist customers with product enquiries, guide them through our collections, offer design advice, and ensure the showroom is presented to the highest standard. This is a customer-facing role focused on delivering exceptional service and creating a memorable showroom experience.

This role is suited to someone who thrives in a design-led environment, values attention to detail, and takes pride in creating an elevated customer experience. As the sole team member in the showroom on Saturdays, you'll be confident working independently, taking initiative, and representing the Ellison Studios brand with professionalism.

Additional hours may be available on an ad hoc basis for training, events and showroom support.

Main duties & Responsibilities

• Welcome both Retail and Trade customers into the showroom and create an inviting, premium experience.
• Assist visitors with product enquiries, finishes, sizing and styling advice.
• Confidently guide customers through the Ellison Studios range, maintaining excellent product knowledge across the collection.
• Answer general showroom enquiries and direct more complex trade or sales enquiries to the appropriate team member.
• Ensure the showroom is clean, well-presented and maintained throughout the day.
• Assist with light showroom tasks including restyling displays and replenishing samples as required.
• Accurately process sales through POS and support order management across systems.
• Represent the Ellison Studios brand with professionalism and enthusiasm at all times.

Skills & Experience

• 2+ years experience in an interiors or furniture retail showroom.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently.
• Comfortable using POS systems, CRM platforms, and e-commerce tools (e.g. Shopify, NetSuite or similar).
• Passion for interiors, furniture and design.
• A friendly, confident and professional manner.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable engaging with customers and providing a high level of service.
