Position Summary

Bodia Apothecary is one single, global brand, addressing Cambodian local market and international markets. Even if Cambodia and the international markets are now two markets, both are served by the same brand, the same product range, and the same pricing logic. The Bodia Apothecary Brand Manager owns this single brand end to end: including but not limited to brand image, product development and product life cycle, 4 Ps, … across both markets being accountable for the coherence of the whole Bodia Apothecary brand strategy.

Core Mission: One Brand, Two Markets

The defining challenge of this role is a balancing act. The Brand Manager manages Bodia Apothecary's brand image, product assortment, development priorities and pricing locally in Cambodia, while making sure every local decision stays consistent with, and subordinate to, the brand's international development, which is the priority.

In practice

  • Local execution must never contradict the global brand: positioning, visual identity, and product standards set for international markets are the baseline Cambodia adapts to, not the other way around.
  • Pricing and assortment decisions in Cambodia are weighed against their effect on the brand's international credibility and growth, never decided in isolation.
  • The two markets can use different communication channels and go-to-market strategies, what works on Cambodian social media or in Cambodian boutiques will not be identical to what works with European /Asian distributors, but the underlying brand story, quality standards, and positioning stay one and the same.
  • When local and international priorities genuinely conflict, international development wins. The Brand Manager's job is to find the version of the local plan that serves both, not to default to one market over the other.

Organizational Context

Reporting hierarchically to the Marketing Director, the Brand Manager draws on functional (non-hierarchical) support from the Visual Merchandizer Manager (also Deputy Marketing Director who insures consistent visual merchandising for Bodia Apothecary and across all Bodia brands) and the Customer Relations Manager (transversal within Bodia SPA and APO), and works in functional partnership with Sales Operations, hierarchically managed by the Sales Manager, for both the Cambodian wholesale and retail network and the international client portfolio of Bodia Apothecary only.

For the international market specifically, the role also coordinates directly with the France warehouse and other international logistics partners, and with R&D/Quality in Phnom Penh on formulas, packaging, and claims that need to satisfy both Cambodian and export requirements, EU cosmetics regulation in particular.

Key Responsibilities

Global Brand Strategy & Positioning

  • Own Bodia Apothecary's brand image across both markets: positioning, visual identity, messaging, and pricing consistency, with international standards as the reference, 4Ps
  • Adapt the brand story and execution per market while protecting what makes Bodia unique: natural products, Cambodian know-how, responsible business.
  • Ensure brand guidelines are applied consistently across every touchpoint, Cambodian boutiques and spas, the website, and international resellers.

Local Market Management — Cambodia

  • Manage brand image, product assortment, and pricing across Bodia's Cambodian boutiques, spas, and exclusive resellers.
  • Keep local pricing and promotions accessible for the Cambodian market while protecting the brand's premium positioning internationally.
  • Collect local market feedback (guests, boutiques, wholesale partners) and route it into global product and brand decisions.

International Development — Priority

  • Lead the brand's growth outside Cambodia: international client portfolio (resellers, concept stores, spas, distributors), new distribution channels, and strengthen online presence.
  • Manage the product stock sent from the Phnom Penh factory to the France warehouse; plan shipments against sales forecasts, lead times, and expiry dates.
  • Make sure packaging, labels, and product claims meet the regulations of each target market, EU cosmetics rules in particular.
  • Study and prepare the potential opening of Bodia boutiques abroad, and represent Bodia at international trade shows and retail activations.

Product & Pricing Arbitration

  • Act as the point of arbitration when local Cambodian needs and international requirements pull in different directions on product specs, formats, or pricing, always resolving in favor of the brand's international trajectory.
  • Feed local and international market insight into R&D and product development, so the range serves both markets without diluting the export-ready standard.

Sales & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build and negotiate commercial offers for international clients, from quotation to delivery and payment.
  • Partner functionally with Sales Operations on both the Cambodian exclusive reseller network and the international portfolio.
  • Partner functionally with the VM Manager and CRM Manager on in-store merchandising and customer retention, in both markets.

Social Media & Brand Awareness

  • Grow Bodia Apothecary's presence on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Pinterest in both markets, using the channels and tactics that work locally, under one consistent brand voice.
  • Design influencer partnerships adapted to each market's audience.

Budget, KPIs & Reporting

  • Own the brand's marketing and commercial budget across both markets.
  • Define monthly KPIs (sales, new accounts, stock rotation, social growth) for each market and present clear, comparable reports to management.

Ideal Profile

Required

  • Proven experience in international sales or international business development: this is first and foremost a commercial profile with international exposure, not a purely creative or local-marketing one.
  • Marketing or brand management experience is a strong, welcomed plus, but not a prerequisite: a strong international sales background with the judgment to also steward a brand's image will be considered over a marketing-only profile with no international experience.
  • Good understanding of export logistics and stock management (imports/exports, warehousing, forecasting).
  • Good commercial skills: opening doors, negotiating, and keeping clients satisfied abroad.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); Khmer and French is a plus.
  • Ready to travel and to work across Cambodia and international markets.

Strong Assets

  • Marketing or digital marketing experience (social media, content, e-commerce).
  • Background in beauty, skincare, wellness, or retail brands.
  • Existing network of distributors or retailers in Europe or Asia.
  • Analytical mindset: able to read data and turn insights into decisions.

Compensation & Benefit

  • Competitive Salary
  • Insurance: group insurance policy.
  • Annual Bonus
  • Seniority
  • NSSF
  • Special Discount on products and spa service
  • Annual Leave, Public Holiday, Day Off, Sick Leave, Maternity Leave compliance per Cambodian labor law
